Columbia College Community Chorus Spring Concert

The Columbia College Community Chorus is proud to perform our Spring Concerts on April 26th and 27th, at 3:00, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, on 13880 Joshua Way, in Sonora, under the direction of Dr. Daryl Hollinger.  The exciting program features two Coronation compositions: Mozart's Coronation Mass written in 1779, which was used for the coronation of Francis II, as the Holy Roman Emperor in 1792 and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Coronation Anthem: Make a Joyful Noise, for the coronation of King Charles III, in 2023. 

Other guaranteed crowd pleasers include spring love songs of Shearing/Shakespeare's Songs and Sonnets as well as Lauridsen's Sure on this Shining Night.  Dr. Hollinger's own compositions, The Ocean's Song and California Love Song, will delight the listener seeking pleasant harmony and lyrics that transport us to lively oceans and mighty forests.  Several spirituals and Fiddler on the Roof tunes are sure to elevate our moods to exhilarating!  The concert ends with the Ashokan Farewell, as Dr. Hollinger bids farewell to the music community upon his move to South Carolina.
